Golden Ear Gym

Join Adam McInnis four times a month for the Golden Ear Gym. These sessions focus on helping you improve your ear skillset when it comes specifically to creating high-quality music focused on production, vocal production, songwriting, melody & mixing. Adam also goes in-depth with topics such as microphone placements, the tones of guitars, EQing, compression, how to approach the sonics of a song, and how to pinpoint tension and release. 

You'll also be given homework to complete where you'll take what you've learned and share your demo in order to receive feedback on it to improve it. 

One of the things that really helped Adam's career grow massively was fine-tuning his ear. He noticed a lot of artists had a hard time communicating what they were looking for to their producers and fellow collaborators because they kind of knew what they wanted but they didn't always know how to communicate it using specific language that made sense.

When your ears get better the questions and confusion become less. Your confidence grows and you can get what's in your head out into the music. Your ear will be able to separate sounds and you'll be able to pick out the nuances among the high and low spectrums and different instruments. 

All sessions take place through Zoom.

Jeff Sojka

David "DQ" Quiñones is an accomplished and humble hitmaker dedicated to mentoring and developing the next generation of artists and hitmakers. He's known for his warm demeanor and exceptional success in the music industry as he bridges the gap between the pop and urban markets in Nashville by blending the best elements of Music City's storytellers with the Top 40 music songwriting process of Los Angeles. With an impressive track record of writing songs for renowned artists like Beyoncé, Brandy, BTS, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj and more, DQ's talent and dedication have solidified his position as a world-class songwriter and collaborator. DQ's passion lies in working with fellow singers, whether it be producing in the studio or providing vocal coaching.
